We were delighted to be one of the sponsors of the Murray Parish Trust’s fabulous fashion show at the magical Grange Hampshire, which was the prefect event for fashion fans who wanted to support a fantastic cause.
Featuring styles for the summer from Moda Rosa, Tabitha Webb and Sass & Edge, this was one of the biggest events we have done and it was absolutely hectic, but great fun.
It was a real hair marathon! My team and I styled the hair of 28 models, who then took to the catwalk in front of the audience of 50.
There were very quick turnarounds between each look, and we were working from a very small dressing room – but we did it!
Every model was finished on time and looked amazing. I am so proud of my whole team. We worked on three looks: relaxed glamour for Moda Rosa – which is a very on-trend look that we are seeing on the catwalks, on the red carpets, at the Met Gala etc –individual looks for Sass & Edge, and a fun cowboy theme for Tabitha Webb. The whole thing was just incredible.
There was such a buzz, and the venue was so beautiful and decorated with dazzling flowers. I was very grateful to L’Oreal professional and Victoria at Angel Floss sweet shop in Romsey, who gave gifts for the goody bags that were given to every guest. They were definitely worth it!
At the end of the show, it was lovely to be recognised on stage by my friend, the wonderful actress Sarah Parish, who was such a great compère.
She invited the whole team up to take a bow, which I know everyone really appreciated as they had worked so hard. The event raised an incredible £20,000 for the Murray Parish Trust, which is run by Sarah Parish and her husband Jim Murray to support the improvement of children’s medical care across the south.
