We were delighted to be one of the sponsors of the Murray Parish Trust’s fabulous fashion show at the magical Grange Hampshire. It’s one of the first events in their fundraising calendar, and we styled all the models’ hair on the runway.
I would like to say a special thank you to L’Oreal Professionnel, which sponsored the goody bags, which were given to every guest and were worth more than £7,000. My friend Victoria at Angel Floss sweet shop in Romsey also gave treats to put in the bags.
I have long been a supporter of the Murray Parish Trust, a charity run by my actor friends Sarah Parish and her husband Jim Murray, which supports the improvement of children’s medical care across the south.
Sponsoring the show took a lot of organising, and I had a wonderful lunch at the Ivy with Sarah Parish, Rosie from Alresford boutique Moda Rosa, fashion designer Tabitha Webb, and Sally and Rachel from Sass and Edge. We had to brainstorm how it was all going to work – so why not have a delicious lunch at the same time?
We also had the team from L’Oreal Professionnel – with general manager Monica Teodoro – visit the salon to discuss the goody bags, as well as to catch up with my team. It has been wonderful working with them for 45 years. It has been a very long and successful partnership.
The world-renowned tenor Russell Watson was in concert at Winchester Cathedral last month, with his special guest the soprano Nancy May. Nancy May popped into the salon to have her hair styled for the evening, and it was lovely for me to meet her together with Cindy, our newest stylist at the salon.
I went back to my home in France for a relaxing Easter, which I spent with friends. It was lovely to be back in France. I sat on the terrace in the spring sunshine, looking out over the beautiful views. We enjoyed traditional lamb for Easter Sunday. I put the diet aside for the day, and what a fabulous treat it was!
